Making an inventory of all relevant indicators in the various Europe-wide indicator sets (Eurostat, EEA, JRC, OECD, UN/ECE) and the associated meta information. Determining the potential for harmonization and streamlining taking due account of the specific objectives of the indicators. Nomenclature, as well as meta information are harmonized and duplicates were eliminated. Further Development of a system to produce the indicators more cost-efficient. The developed methodology was also to be applied to the development of new indicators and indicator sets. The project aims at developing the service of the new European 'data centers' in the context of the future common Shared European Environmental Information system. |

Delays or incorrect transposition of European directives in Dutch legislation by the Ministry of Housing thus represent a potential legal and financial risk to the province. Provincial requirements and positions should therefore be introduced in Brussels in early stage. A comprehensive approach to European policy making, the transposition to national policy and advocacy opportunities is made and the results are incorporated into the primary work of the department. |
